Welcome to Film Camp

Take your story from script to screen in an online film camp! Create a short film, produce a mini-documentary, animate your own cartoons and connect with other aspiring filmmakers just like you! Working film professionals from Hollywood and across the United States will help you write, shoot and edit a film project.

In the first hour of each day, you will learn the secrets of short films from professional filmmakers and in the second hour, you will apply what you’ve learned to create a film of your own. This camp is run by StoryArk’s Emerging Professionals with TV and movie actor Charles Carpenter and director and cinematographer Ski-ter Jones sharing their skills with students.

StoryArk Festival

Celebrate student storytelling

NEW THIS YEAR! The Festival expands to be an indoor AND outdoor event!

The StoryArk Festival celebrates student podcast, film, poetry, short stories, novel excerpts, plays, music and visual art and showcases student stories in an engaging, high energy way.

An indoor/outdoor event hosted by Stillwater Public Library, youth from across Minnesota who participate in StoryArk programming share stories in multiple mediums to friends, family, neighbors and community members.

Stories, food, music – the Festival has it all!

All are welcome to experience the transformative power of youth storytelling to build empathy and understanding of the student experience.

The Festival is free to all, but we always happily accept donations 🙂

Meet your Programming Director

Mattie Nunn is a young musician from the twin cities. She plays in a family band as the keyboardist and backup vocalist. She and her siblings have been on season 13 of America’s Got Talent, released their own album and played many shows around the twin cities. She is working with storyark to teach students to use music as a medium for storytelling. She plans to attend the University of Minnesota and study fashion design. She loves creativity and is so excited to be able to help student voices be heard.
