Where does this event take place?

We’ll be hosting this event via Zoom

You will need a working camera, microphone, and strong internet connection to participate. This is not a “sit back and watch” event. You will get to interview the actors, ask questions, collect clues, and catch the killer. Please note that our staff may take control of your microphone at certain points of the show.

After you purchase your “lot” (ticket) you will be sent a link for the Zoom event. Please join the event on a Laptop, Desktop, or Tablet for the best experience. Smartphones or casting to other devices is not recommended and may cause disruptions for others participating.

Will I be seen by other people on screen?

Yes! However you will have chances to turn your camera off, but if you want to participate in the Ugly Holiday Sweater competition we’ll need to see the sweater so please be sure to come “camera ready”

How much does it cost?

The event is $75.00 per household. You don’t have to purchase tickets for family members as long as they are gathered around the same computer.

Is this event for kids?

Although StoryArk is built around students, this fundraising event is for Adults. Recommended 21+ there will be alcohol involved and consumed.

What do I get out of this?

We hope a lot! There will be an awesome Welcome Package sent to your house via mail, (only one package will be sent per household) we will have awesome giveaways including an ugly holiday sweater contest, as well as prizes for the lucky person who catches the murderer! If multiple people solve the murder we’ll be doing a live drawing to see who wins. Plus your ticket fee is totally tax deductible! How cool is that?!

Any trigger warnings?

At StoryArk we strive to make mental health a top priority. Please note that at this event we will talk in depth about murder, people will “die” (acting) on screen. There may be foul language, adult themes, alcohol consumption, fighting/arguing(acting), scenes with simulated explosions. However, there will be no gore/blood etc.

It’s all meant to be silly and fun, but if you or someone in your household are sensitive to any of the above we completely understand and this may not be the event for you.

Stay tuned for future event parties with different themes! Or email us with suggestions at admin@storyark.org

What’s in the Welcome Package? Do I open it?

After you purchase your “lot” (ticket) you will receive a welcome package in the mail from StoryArk. (There will only be one (1) welcome package per household) PLEASE DO NOT OPEN until the event and are directed to do so. It’s all part of the fun! We promise it’s worth the wait. Because of the pandemic, all contents will be disinfected and handled with care to ensure the safety of our attendees and their families.

If you do not receive a package, please contact Stephani at steph@storyark.org

What if I have technical issues during the event?

We understand that doing this via Zoom comes with Tech issues. Some of it may be totally out of our hands, but we will do everything possible to make this the best experience we can!

Please contact Jenna at jenna@storyark.org with any questions or issues that you may have.

Am I able to exchange events or get a refund?
